I am blown away by Dara
Torres. She's 41 years old, and just won two silver medals in Beijing.
She truly is an amazing woman. This is my new goal... to be healthy,
strong, powerful and in top form by the time I'm forty. I have a little
more than three years to get there. I am giving myself this long
because I am the mother of six. I want to make my goals realistic so I
am not setting myself for failure. That would be unfair. Small
realistic goals here and there, and in three years, I know I will reach my personal body/fitness/health goals that I have set for myself.
I have made some changes in my life that have benefited
me. In case you don't know, we have taken out all artificial colors,
flavors, preservatives, hydrogenated oils and NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN
SYRUP anywhere in our house for the past four months. I'm down to one
cup of coffee, and I have stopped eating all meat. It's only been nine
days, but I have dropped three pounds already. I've stopped drinking
milk and have exchanged it for vanilla rice milk. I can't give up
cheese just yet. Maybe in time... And I started drinking Mona Vie, (we
call it POWER JUICE at my house) I feel different. I'm not sure if it's the juice, working out, not eating meat... or all three!
I feel like a
different person. And looking at this picture below of Dara makes me want to
make better choices for myself.I will be healthier. I will be stronger.
I will be a better version of me.
