Penelope Dullaghan is a self proclaimed "freelance
illustrator, artist, designer, wannabe yogi (I'm working at it), health
nut, bit-of-a loner, vegetarian, soul searcher, sacred-finder, stumbler
and dust-self-off-and-get-back-upper" kind of woman. I love this description! She is also a brand new Mutha to her beautiful three month old daughter, Veda!
I stumbled onto her site simply because she entitled her post, Muthahood Aint For Sissies. One of her girlfriends gave her the shirt to celebrate her very first Mothers Day.
I was so happy to see this photo!
So, Happy Mutha's Day to you Penny and all the other Mutha's out there this weekend!
I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family!
*If you have bought or received your own Muthahood Aint For Sisies T-shirt, send us your photos and you will be a featured Mom too!

I spent Mother's Day in Harlem with my son, John, and my husband. It was an experience like no other. We were walking along 116th st. when someone in a car called out, "Happy Mothers Day!' I looked around to see to whom she was speaking. It was me. I thanked her and wished her the same. Then a little girl behind me called out, "Happy Mothers Day!" Again to me. I thanked her and wished the same to her grandma, with whom she was walking. Throughout the day--people at John's apartment building, the super, a fellow condo owner, people in stores, all wished me a Happy Mothers Day. It was amazing. Yes, Grafton was the site of the first Mothers Day--but Harlem has the spirit big time. I have never had so many good wishes on Mothers Day in my life. And, I too hope that all those people had a Happy Mothers Day and spent some time and good wishes with their own mothers if that was possible.
