The other day Zman screamed from upstairs, "Mom, we need your help and hurry!"
I ran upstairs and saw this. Yes, this is Funny Man I with his head in the Dora oven. His head was stuck in between two shelves. It was difficult not to break out in laughter. Okay, I laughed out loud even when he started to get worried. He really got mad when I took the photo!!
After we had the "Don't panic" discussion, he was able to wriggle out. He gave me some lame excuse about "looking" for plates. Really? You couldn't just open the OTHER door to look? Really?
Well, the only three words that come to mind are "Boys Are Stupid!" What do you think?

if only they got smarter?

Gives a new and much better meaning to "I'm gonna go stick my head in an oven". lol. My 6 year old took a look at the picture and said, "That's silly, couldn't that boy tell he can't fit his whole body in there to hide?"

It is so funny you posted this today...my friend and I were just discussing this very topic the other day. And unfortunately they don't grow out of it!

I love your site, your posts, and your YouTube videos. I'm not a mom but I'm an aunt with a little nephew that reminds me of Z Man. I have so much respect for you; you're a true inspiration! Rock on!

I concur, oh what awaits me if I decide to have a second child and it's a boy.

"Boys are Stupid" Maybe you should throw rocks at them.

:) I'm pretty sure he just wanted to see where the legs of Dora are ... i would do that (and so would my sons)

Wait. This is your son right? And you're asking the Internet if your son is stupid? If he really is stupid, it is obvious where he gets it from. In any case he will need psychotherapy from having been raised by a feminist who rejects his gender because she is to weak to face her own.
And in any case, boys are not stupid, they are just are creative risk-takers. A trait girl usually lack.
You are not fit for motherhood.

Hi Monica!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Thanks for the good laugh this morning. You have no idea just how stupid I am! I have never claimed NOT to be. I have to be a little off my rocker to have six kids.
Trust me, I do know that children are risk takers, ESPECIALLY boys, that's my favorite thing about them. I just love catching them in the act when they are trying!
I wish you took the time to actually get to know me before saying things like,"he will need psychotherapy from having been raised by a feminist who rejects his gender because she is to weak to face her own." If he's going to go to therapy when he's older because of me, I'm sure it won't be because I rejected his gender. If you knew me or my kids, the joke is they suffer from High Self Esteem.
Have a great day Monica. The way you've started it should prove how positive it will be!

I love how a kid just has to try something, even if it's a little lacking in forethought of consequences. They've got to touch the hot stove, got to lick the frozen pipe, got to see if they can fit in an impossible place.
The photo looks hilarious with that Dora cutout on the back of it! Looks like an extension of the kid!
BTW I have gotten IMMENSE mileage out of "Say Fire Truck" and my sister, mother of a 2-year-old boy, totally cracked up too.
