I actually had another parent tell me one theory why little ones do this is because they can feel the shoes on their feet more than when they are on the correct feet. Therefore, they feel more secure. It actually made sense and I have quit arguing with my little one about this - and started arguing with every stupid person who tells me my kid has her shoes on the wrong feet. Really? I hadn't noticed! Sheesh. :)

I have a 2 year old son that loves wearing his 5 year old sisters heels. I've given up fussing- it's not worth it.
