description is straight from their website. I have added links so you
can find the best and fastest way for you to get rid of donate your old nasty out of style big framed prescription eyeglasses.
Donate your used eyeglasses
Drop off your old eyeglasses or sunglasses at any LensCrafters,
Pearle Vision, Sears, Target or BJ’s Optical store, or Lions club to
help someone in a developing country experience a brighter future. We
will clean, repair and classify your glasses by prescription, then
personally deliver them on Give the Gift of Sight international optical
missions.
Organize a used glasses collection drive
Collecting used glasses is a great community service activity for
schools, scout troops or anyone interested in helping others. For help
with putting together a glasses collection drive, contact a local
LensCrafters and ask to speak to the Gift of Sight Store Captain.

What a great idea! I use to hang onto my glasses for a year & use them as back ups. Now I've got contacts. I really wish I knew about this before, I would've totally donated my old ones.
