We have all experienced the following kind of day. The house is a mess, the laundry is piled too high for our liking, and, of course, someone is sick. Nothing seems to be right. We just want to escape. We just want to get the hell out and maybe scream while we’re running out the door. But we can’t. Those little people contributing to the madness need us. They depend on us for everything.
So what do we do? Screaming and yelling often seem like an option at the time - to get our frustrations out. We know that’s not the best idea. We try not to yell at the kids. But we do have those days. At that moment, when our world seems so overwhelming, all we want to do is cry.
It works. It is amazing how cleansing a good cry can feel.
I remember a few years back I had one of those days...
I was visiting family in Chino for a wedding. The hubby was out of town. My second son was just 3. The third was 18 months and I was pregnant with the fourth. Oh yeah, I was sick. Nobody would nap in their new surroundings and I was exhausted. So I decided to throw the two of them in the car, hoping they would fall asleep. After driving for almost an hour, with nobody sleeping, I had a complete meltdown. I pulled over and started to cry hysterically. I lost it. I must have cried for 10 minutes - nonstop. I think I called the hubby during the process, ranting and raving. I don’t remember the conversation. The hubby does!!
What I remember is that I felt a whole lot better after the cry.
It’s about letting go.
Sometimes we are forced to stop, cry and just be.

I love this one!

True Story:
I recently had a man I know apologize to me (trust me he sooooo needed to apologize to me) This was my response to him. "Dude! "I'm sorry" doesn't count if you roll your eyes afterwards!" talk about BS apologies!
I know when my kids and yours grow up they will continue to practice what they learned as children. My kids are close to adult hood and I know most of the core stuff has stuck with them. It warms my soul when I see it in their actions and their words.

I would like to help children in Guatemala.
I have lived in Guatemala and I know that I could do something to help.
How can I put something on my website so that I can tell the story of poor children in Guatemala.
I'm a Realtor and I'm going to start helping children by giving something back. When I sell a home or a client buys a home I also want to give back. Can you give me some advice on getting started.
The best,
Alex E Mendoza
