My Kid is Friggin Hilarious
"Funny Man I" started singing on the road trip through Utah...
"I kissed a cow and I liked it!"
"Funny Man I" started singing on the road trip through Utah...
"I kissed a cow and I liked it!"
As Funny Man I was heading upstairs to get dressed for the day, I can't believe that I had to say, "Dude, can you NOT lick the handrail as you go up the stairs!"
Boys are NUTS!
Women talk what, three times more than men?
Well, I guess this one started really young!! I hope you enjoy.
Overheard at the dinner table...
"Look Mom I can lick my own armpit!"
The other day Zman screamed from upstairs, "Mom, we need your help and hurry!"
I ran upstairs and saw this. Yes, this is Funny Man I with his head in the Dora oven. His head was stuck in between two shelves. It was difficult not to break out in laughter. Okay, I laughed out loud even when he started to get worried. He really got mad when I took the photo!!
After we had the "Don't panic" discussion, he was able to wriggle out. He gave me some lame excuse about "looking" for plates. Really? You couldn't just open the OTHER door to look? Really?
Well, the only three words that come to mind are "Boys Are Stupid!" What do you think?
Penelope Dullaghan is a self proclaimed "freelance
illustrator, artist, designer, wannabe yogi (I'm working at it), health
nut, bit-of-a loner, vegetarian, soul searcher, sacred-finder, stumbler
and dust-self-off-and-get-back-upper" kind of woman. I love this description! She is also a brand new Mutha to her beautiful three month old daughter, Veda!
I stumbled onto her site simply because she entitled her post, Muthahood Aint For Sissies. One of her girlfriends gave her the shirt to celebrate her very first Mothers Day.
I was so happy to see this photo!
So, Happy Mutha's Day to you Penny and all the other Mutha's out there this weekend!
I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family!
*If you have bought or received your own Muthahood Aint For Sisies T-shirt, send us your photos and you will be a featured Mom too!
AAAHHH! Why? Why? Why do they continue to mess around during nap time? They are driving me nuts. I caught Little Miss S three times today out of her bed!
So... The consequence? If you play during nap time, you can't play during play time. So here they sit, again, for the forth day in a row.
Will they learn their lesson? God, I hope so. If not, I'm hoping God will grant me more patience this week. If not, the hubby may need to go get me a bottle of wine, or two.
It amazes me that this will be my fourth trip to Kenya in 18 months. That’s insane to me. How could a stay at home Mom with six kids between the ages of 14 and 3 be heading BACK to Kenya?
Well, we can start that answer with… a great husband, a friend, and a true partner. I am so blessed to be married and in love with a man who wants me to be fulfilled and happy. The second is the support I get from all my friends and family; those who help with my kids, feeding, loving, driving them to school, to those who donate money for school fees, pens, pencils, and of course UNDERWEAR!
I am truly grateful for all of this. I am a stay at home Mom who is finding her place in the world, and hoping and working towards making it better. I am humbled by the love and support to be able to fulfill this passion. Thank you all so very much.
So, I am leaving tonight. The eight days that I will be on the ground will be filled with meetings, looking for land to build Inspire the Child on, and of course, visiting the girls at Saint Monica’s. I can’t wait to see them. They have no idea I am coming, and it will be such a wonderful surprise!! I will also be refilling their requirements to go back for their second term at school. I am so grateful to my friends Angela, Tiffany, Tracy, Dawn, Jane and Sarah, who donated sanitary pads, soap, pens, pencils, sports bras and toothpaste. It’s all coming with me to pass out next week!!
And we cannot forget about the UNDERWEAR!! Exactly 2000 pairs have been packed and will be distributed to three IDP camps totaling over 20,000 people. I wish we had more. I know one day we will.
You can follow our journey by heading over to Twitter and reading the daily updates from Kenya!
Thank you all so very much. Thank you for the love, well wishes, and support. I’ll see you soon!
